Can you remember your greatest accomplishment when you were 12? Perhaps you were the first in your class or have made your own scrapbook but Jennifer Lopez’s daughter Emme Maribel Muniz is already an author after publishing a children’s book called ‘Lord Help Me,’ which highlights the power of prayer and her love for sloths.
Adding to Emme’s already colorful resume is her first-ever book which will be printed by Random House Children’s Books’ Crown Books for Young Readers. The masterpiece, which will be available starting Sept. 29, will have Spanish and English versions.
So where did Jennifer’s daughter get the inspiration for the story? Apparently, the book is based on her prayers, which says a lot about her faith.
Naturally, the ‘All I Have’ hitmaker is very proud of her daughter’s literary feat and shared the wonderful news with her fans on social media. In her post, Jennifer referred to the author as her ‘lil coconut’ and attached photos of Emme holding a copy of the book.
Jennifer shares Emme and her twin brother Maximilian David with record executive Marc Anthony, who also celebrated the impressive achievement by sharing sweet photos of him bonding with his daughter. The 51-year-old said he was so proud of Emme.
Inspiration for the Book
The young girl’s fascination with the lazy mammals began when she learned about them in school and how the species is nearing extinction. Because of the sad reality that sloths are vanishing, Emme prayed for their welfare and safety.
By publishing the children’s book, Emme hopes to raise funds for the creatures while educating other kids on how to ask for help and to pray. She is reaping the fruits of her labor after working on ‘Lord Help Me,’ which is illustrated by Brenda Figureroa, for a couple of years.
In 2018, her very talented mom took to Instagram to post photos of Emme meeting with a publisher. Could Jennifer be rubbing her skills off to her child?
Acquiring Skills
After all, the songstress also authored a book in 2015 titled ‘True Love,’ which details her personal and professional growth. Apart from writing, Emme has also inherited Jennifer’s undeniable talent in singing, which was evident during the little one’s surprising Super Bowl Halftime Show performance alongside her mom.
Emme sang Jennifer’s song, ‘Let’s Get Loud’ and Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Born In The USA,’ much to the delight of the viewers and her mom, who was definitely amazed by how good the girl was.
