Sometimes when people have a lot on their plate, they prefer to get rid of the less frequently used things even if they're very fond of them. Guess that's what actress Gwyneth Paltrow is doing.
With her Montecito home being renovated and her company Goop launching a series of Caribbean cruises, the Iron Man actress barely has any time to look after her childhood home. Maybe that's why she's selling it. Here’s a sneak peek inside!
A quick flashback
After her birth in 1972, Paltrow's parents (actress Blythe Danner and late TV producer and director Bruce Paltrow) decided to make Brentwood their permanent residence. But when Paltrow turned eleven, the family moved to New York and stayed there for quite some time before moving back to California again. In August 2021, when Paltrow felt that it was the right time to sell the home, she contacted Ari Wintraub of Sotheby’s International Realty and asked him to list the house for $3.195 million.
A peek inside the house
Spread over 2,418 sq. ft., the house has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. Since it was built long back, it doesn't follow an open floor plan concept like most modern houses. Instead, it features a closed floor plan with solid wide-plank flooring and French doors and windows.
The property boasts two living rooms, a dining room, a beautiful kitchen, and a viewing deck. The living areas have top-quality furniture and stone-built fireplaces along with doors connecting to the outdoor area. The dining room, located at the edge of the kitchen, has a six-seater dining table with a glass chandelier on the top. Unlike other white and light blue colored rooms, the dining room is painted royal blue and has a classy vibe.
Moving towards the kitchen, it's connected to one of the living rooms and has a checkered floor with glass cabinets and a wooden countertop. The space near the kitchen has been used smartly by adding a breakfast nook. The same idea has been used upstairs in the primary bathroom, which has a bathtub in that area.
The cherry on top is the viewing deck. Accessible through the wood-planked walkway, it provides serene views of the locality. Since the area is surrounded by greenery, the deck acts as a perfect spot to escape from the hustle of daily life. Not only this, the property is located in such a nice place that it's close to schools and markets. That means you don't have to stay far to enjoy some privacy.
Wrapping it up
